Star 102.1's "Dancing with the Knoxville Stars" dancing competition Thursday raised more than $87,000 for East Tennessee Children's Hospital.
According to Ellen Liston with the hospital, the money will buy equipment for home health and the emergency room.
The dance competition made $30,000 more in 2012 than in the 2011 event, Liston said.
Jay Teter, who is master of ceremonies at Dixie Stampede in Pigeon Forge, was the dancing winner.
Renita Stinnett, who is the event planning director at the Expo Center, was the top fundraiser with over $9,000.
