The East Tennessee Children's Hospital is getting a $50,000 grant to help kids with cancer.

The St. Baldricks Foundation awarded the Childhood Cancer Research Grant to the hospital. According to the St. Baldrick's Foundation, only 4% of all federal cancer research funding is dedicated to pediatric cancer research and more than 70% of children recieve treatment through clinical trials.

The children's hospital will use the grant to conduct more research and enroll more children in ongoing clinical trials, which is their best hope to find a cure.
