It's the day of love: Valentine's Day.

On this Tuesday, many people will choose to get married in Gatlinburg. It is considered only second to Las Vegas in the amount of marriages performed.

Gatlinburg Church and Chapel Ministries is open for weddings every day and already has several scheduled for Tuesday, Valentine's Day.

Reverand Dr. Ed Taylor opened the chapel 35 years ago and himself has performed more than 40,000 weddings. In total, the ministry and performed 80,000.

Rev. Ed opened his Gatlinburg Church and Chapel Ministries because he saw a need to keep marriage holy.

For him, performing weddings never gets old.

"Well, it never gets old, even though I have performed over 40,000 couples myself," said Rev. Ed, "It is still just as fresh everyday as it was and in a couple of months I'll hit the big 81. I am apparently going strong and I thank God for that.

The church is open until five o'clock on Tuesday.
