Little girl killed in swing set accident was "super fun-loving child"

A seven-year-old girl who was injured in a swing set accident on Wednesday evening has died of her injuries.

The Knox County Sheriff's Office says Josie Fine was playing on a swing set made of telephone poles when it fell on her around 5:45 pm.

Her father started CPR, and first responders from Rural/Metro continued CPR when they arrived on the scene.  The girl was transported to UT Medical Center, where she later died.

Josie was a student at Brickey-McClound Elementary School.  The principal released this statement:

"I appreciate the support that has flooded our school ranging from parents to Knox County Schools' counselors and psychologists. They have been amazing! We will miss our precious Josie...a super fun-loving child who will be remembered as a girl who loved to laugh, play, and have fun!"

A north Knox County girl was injured Wednesday afternoon when a swing set fell on her.  Emergency crews were called to a home on Heiskell Road around 5:45 p.m.  after a swing set made of telephone poles fell on a 7 year-old girl. 

The girls's father started CPR on her and when ambulance crews arrived they continued it.  The child was take to UT Medical Center, they have not released her name or condition.
