A number of people have asked if there is a way to help Sgt. Lowell Russell, the THP trooper who was critically injured in a crash early Tuesday morning.

According to the Facebook page where his family is posting updates about his condition, there are a number of ways people can donate.

Volunteer Federal Savings and Loan in Monroe County has set up an account for donations to help the Russell family with expenses. Donations may be made at any of the six branch offices in Monroe County or be mailed to:

Friends of Lowell Russell

Donations may also be directly deposited to the account via PayPal. See the website for more details.

The aforementioned account at Volunteer Federal will also benefit from a percentage of sales at five Chili's locations on April 3, 2012, when customers show this flier for Support Sergeant Lowell Russell Day.
