A Sevierville woman is facing charges after her 9-month-old daughter ate a hydrocodone pill.
Megan Skipper is charged with aggravated child neglect.
Officers say Skipper told them she left the child playing on the floor while she went to the bathroom.
When she returned, several items were on the floor, including an open bottle of hydrocodone.
Skipper took the child to LeConte Medical Center after she started acting funny.
Emergency room staff say Skipper did not tell them the baby may have ingested the pill.
Doctors rushed the baby to East Tennessee Children's Hospital and called authorities after they determined the drug was in her system.
