A great luxury of living in East Tennessee is that the Smoky Mountains aren't too far away! One of our favorite hiking trails for children is Laurel Falls. This 2.6-mile roundtrip hike is considered to be one of the most popular waterfall hikes in the Smokies. In case you are worried about your little ones getting tired, bring your stroller because Laurel Falls is paved! Allow about two hours for this hike, especially if you are bringing young kids and make sure to keep a close eye on your kids towards the end of the trail, as you approach the falls. The trailhead can be found from Sugarlands Visitor Center, turn toward Cades Cove on Little River Road and drive 3.5 miles and there will be parking on both sides of the road.
