Whether you're a seasoned pilot or just have a passing interest in flight, the Tennessee Museum of Aviation in Sevierville is a must-see. Airworthy Warbirds are the foundation of their aircraft collection. The Gatlinburg Pigeon Forge Airport's runway is located just outside their hangar door, making it possible for visitors to enjoy unscheduled flight demonstrations. The aircraft hangar contains a large selection of airworthy and static aircraft; radial and jet engines; military vehicles and various cockpits. The exhibit gallery is filled with thousands of historic artifacts. With the ever-changing exhibits and visiting aircraft - no two visits will be the same. Don't pass up the opportunity to browse the museum's extensive gift shop, packed with souvenirs for the entire family. Although the museum is off the beaten path, this hidden treasure is certainly worth a visit.
