Nothing
quite says summertime like a melting, delicious ice cream cone! You can
take your kids to plethora of ice cream shops in our area for your
favorite flavor. Although, if you have a little more time on your hands,
here's a yummy recipe for homemade ice cream in a bag!
Ingredients: 1 tablespoon sugar,
½ cup milk,
¼ teaspoon vanilla,
6 tablespoons rock salt,
1 pint-size plastic food storage bag,
1 gallon-size plastic good storage bag, and ice cubes
Fill the large bag half full of ice, add rock salt, and seal the bag.
Put milk, vanilla, and sugar into the small bag and seal it. Place the
small bag inside the large one and seal it again. Make sure it is
sealed, then shake until the mixture is ice cream (about 5 minutes) Open
bag and enjoy!
