Storm clouds flooded Louisville, Ky. Tuesday morning.

Rain water covered roads near the University of Louisville and several cars got stuck in the water, but no one was hurt.

The elderly mother of Congressman John Yarmuth was rescued from her car after it ran off the road in the rain.

Lightning may have also hit a student apartment building near the campus.  Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire, but nearly one dozen students are searching for another place to live.

Flooding was worse across the river from Louisville in New Albany, Indiana.  A number of streets in the area were impassable for several hours.
