Fleta Fest is three days of music on a three acre island, called River John's Island. WDVX and Sweet Water Brewing Company present the 8th annual Bob Dylan's Birthday Bash, from Market Square in downtown Knoxville starting at 5 pm. The Bash features the Grammy winning talents of Tim O'Brien along with some of our area's top artists covering everything Bob Dylan in their own style including Hot Shot Freight Train, Mountain Soul, Maggie Longmire, Will Carter Band, Evan Carawan, Karen Reynolds, the Detroit Daddies and more. This event is free with festival seating.
The Blount Partnership, in conjunction with the Maryville Downtown Association, is proud to present the first-ever Smoky Mountain Pottery Festival Exclusive Artist and Patron Party, from 5:30-7:30 pm, at the Blount County Chamber of Commerce office. Clayton Center for the Arts presents "The Time of Our Lives" an Evening of Dance with Artistic Dance Unlimited. Each show will feature a variety of entertaining dance performances from different dance genres including: Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop, and Contemporary. Tickets are $14 for the 7 pm performance.
The City People Downtown Dash is a 1 mile certified run designed for the elite and the recreational runners / walkers. The event begins at 7 pm at Krutch Park.
The Knoxville Museum of Art is hosting the "Exhibition and Sale at the KMA", from 7 to 10 pm. It's an exhibition of works created on location by artists on location. Admission is free and includes hors d'ouvres, a cash bar, and live music by The Dennis Dow Trio.
The Tennessee Smokies play host to the Huntsville Stars at Smokies Park in Kodak. Not only is it another "Fireworks Friday" night at the ballpark, it also happens to be "Jazz Night". Jazz music will be playing throughout the park during the game. First pitch is scheduled for 7:15.
Jon Reep will be performing at Side Splitters Comedy Club in west Knoxville. Tickets are $20 at the door for the 7:45 show. Tickets are also available for the 10:15 show.

Mic Harrison and The High Score will celebrate the release or their new album, "Still Wanna Fight", with a two-night show at The Well. Tickets are $8 in advance, $10 at the door. The show will start at 9 pm, with a set from Curtis Jenkins, a singer/songwriter from Virginia.

The Market Square Farmers' Market opens at 9 am. Grab some cash and bring some friends down to support your local farmers and artisans.
PetSafe presents the "Walk and Wag" 2012 in memory of Abby Gibson at Victor Ashe Park. Proceeds go to benefit the Abby Gibson Veterinary Medicine Scholarship Endowment at The University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. Registration is $15 and begins at 9 am. Knoxville Kids Expo will be held at the Knoxville Convention Center from 10 am to 6 pm. Tickets are $9 at the door and $7 online for ages 13 and up. Ages 12 and under are free. They will have carnival games, kiddie rides, a mobile video game arcade, arts and crafts, and a safety vehicle exhibit. There will be performances by local child celebrities Jae Williams, Skyler McAllister, and Sam Hatmaker. The main stage will also be the spot where we host "The Price Is Right" family edition and "Minute to Win It" family edition!
Rod Picott with Paper Lantern will perform on the Saturday edition of the WDVX Blue Plate Special. You can be entertained at the Knoxville Visitor Center for free at noon.
The Knoxville 24 Hour Film Festival will kick off at 1 pm. Organizers of Knoxville Films will announce the secret elements that must be incorporated into the films. Film-making teams will then have 24 hours to write, shoot, and edit a 4-minute film. The kick-off will begin at Relix Variety Theatre where the secret elements will be announced. All films must be turned in by 1 pm the following day, June 3 at Relix Variety Theatre. Finished 24 Hour Films will be screened on June 16 at the US Cellular Stage at the Bijou Theater in downtown Knoxville beginning at 7 pm.
This year's "Blues in Vineyard" Festival at Nolichucky Vineyard starts at 2. The lineup in order is Barry Faust and the Bearden Harp Dogs, The Austin Crum Experience, Jenna and her Cool Friends, Labron Lazenby and LA 3, Joe Moss, and Mac Arnold. The evening ends with a red, hot and blues close out ceremony around 11 pm. Ticket for more than 10 hours of music are $20. Food and drinks are available and coolers are allowed. The second night for Mic Harrison's album release (Still Wanna Fight), will continue at The Well in the Bearden District. Tickets are $8 in advance, $10 at the door. The show will start at 9 pm, with a set from Brendon James Wright & the Wrongs.
The JoJax will perform at the Preseravation Pub. Cindercat will open the show at 10 pm. There is a $5 cover for the show.
