Kicks for Change
JourneyPartners "Kicks for Change" Soccer Tournament and Family Fun Day is Saturday June 2 from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm at the U.S. Cellular Complex in West Knoxville.
All proceeds go to JourneyPartners Zimbabwe 2012 School Project
JourneyPartners is a non -profit organization connecting people and resources in mutual, multi-cultural experiences through three focused areas: clean and available water, education and health.

Smart Trips Commuter Challenge
Smart Trips annual Commuter Challenge begins June 1 with a new event,
the Downtown Prize Trolley, that promises lots of fun and prizes for participants.
Modeled after the TV show Cash Cab, the Prize Trolley will offer riders the chance to
win gift cards to downtown merchants such as Mast General Store, Bliss, Tomato Head
and others for correctly answering trivia questions.
The event coincides with First Friday and will run from 5 to 8 p.m. on one of the Gay
Street Trolleys. Smart Trips Commuter Challenge takes place from June 1 through July
31 and challenges businesses and individuals to make alternatives to driving alone
part of their daily routine. Those who are able to carpool, bicycle, walk, or take the bus
at least once a week during the challenge qualify for prizes such as an Apple iPad,
Nook tablets, Timbuktu messenger bags, and more.
Smart Trips is funded by a
federal Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) grant and is a program of the
Knox County Metropolitan Planning Commission's Transportation Planning Organization.

WDVX & Sweet Water Brewing Company present the 8th annual Bob Dylan's Birthday Bash on Friday, June 1st from Market Square in downtown Knoxville starting at 5:00PM. The Bash features the Grammy winning talents of Tim O'Brien along with some of our area's top artists covering everything Bob Dylan in their own style including Hot Shot Freight Train, Mountain Soul, Maggie Longmire, Will Carter Band, Evan Carawan, Karen Reynolds, the Detroit Daddies and more. This event is free with festival seating at Market Square on First Friday June 1st.
