A grand jury has indicted a McMinn County mother accused of burning her eight-year-old son with cigarettes.
30-year-old April Michelle Lee is facing two counts of aggravated child abuse.
The sheriff's office says it learned about the burns after a concerned family member contacted children's services.
They say the boy had several fresh and old burns on his body.
The child is currently in the custody of another family member.
