A Knoxville-based charity working to spread joy through beautiful bouquets is getting a major boost from the community.
Friday marked the 47th annual Art in the Garden fundraiser for Random Acts of Flowers.
It featured live art displays, silent auctions, and of course, flowers. The group delivers flowers recycled and donated from weddings and other events to those who need their spirits raised.
Events like this one are a big help to what they do.
"It's important because we get to connect with our supporters. We can connect with our patients. We can connect with a lot of sponsors. We get a touch point to the community that we are able to share with them our charitable mission, and we are able to share with them why we need to do more and expand further," said Larsen Jay.
Random Acts of Flowers delivered its 10,000th bouquet earlier this year.
