A company that once tried to negotiate a deal to take over Scott County's hospital has submitted a new proposal in the wake of the facility's recent closure.
Pioneer Health Services is proposing that it lease the building for 15 years, according to Scott County Commissioner Gerry Garrett.
Part of the proposal calls for Scott County to pay $3.5 million in charitable contributions over ten years for indigent care at the facility.
Pioneer entered a tentative agreement with Scott County last year, but negotiations fell through.
