The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that killed a man Friday night. It happened just after 10:30 p.m.
According to an accident report, 52 year old James D. Finks of Harriman was traveling North on State Hwy 327 when he lost control of his Chevrolet pickup and veered off the left side of the road. He then struck a guardrail and railroad overpass, before overturning into Poplar Creek.
Finks died in that crash. The report says deputies found the truck fully submerged in the water.
No other vehicles were involved.
