Knoxville Police officers are investigating a shooting that left one person injured on Saturday evening in East Knoxville.
Around 6:40 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to a shots fired call at 500 McConnell street.
They found 24-year old Maurice Davis lying on the ground with several gunshot wounds. Officers say the injuries were not life threatening. Emergency responders took him to UT Medical Center.
Officers say an unknown male fled the scene. They are still investigating the shooting.
