Almost two dozen people relocated in LaFollette apartment fire

Almost two dozen people were relocated after a multi-unit fire in LaFollette.

According to LaFollette Fire Chief Gary Byrd it happened around 8 p.m Saturday night and Lindsey Apartments on Central Avenue.

The fire was contained to one apartment with nine other units affected with gas and smoke.

Overnight, 22 people were sheltered for cautionary measures but no one was hurt.

Officials are currently ventilating the apartments and Chief Byrd expects people to be back in their apartments by 4 p.m.
