Two people are in custody after a narcotics investigation in the parking lot of a Rogersville Restaurant.
Hawkins County Sheriff's Narcotics Unit were conducting a narcotics investigation in the parking lot of the Sonic Restaurant in Rogersville.
Officers officers approached a vehicle in the parking lot. Officers determined the driver and passenger appeared to be impaired and on controlled substance medications.
The driver was identified as Mary M. Lopez and Oscar Gary Osborne both of Rogersville. Lopez admitted to possessing Oxycodone, Valium and Carisoprodol. She was unable to provide a prescription for any of the medications. Osborne admitted to being in possession of Oxycodone and Valium.
Both Lopez and Osborne were placed in custody and transported to the Hawkins County Jail with a $20,000 bond.
Lopez is charged with Possession of Schedule Two Controlled Substance, Possession of Schedule four Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Osborne is charged with Possession of Schedule Two Controlled Substance and Possession Schedule Four Controlled Substance.
