A thief took something irreplaceable from a Blount County family's home.

Kimberly Best lives on McGhee Road in the Carpenters Campground Community.

Late last month, a thief stole several televisions, guns and pieces of jewelry.

Another stolen item was priceless to the homeowner's family.

Best kept her granddaughter's ashes in a jewelry box.  The infant's remains also went missing.

"I opened it up and saw they were gone.  I just lost it," Best said Tuesday afternoon.

The grandmother wishes her little angel's remains would return home.

"I would love to meet them [the thief] either in court or wherever and just ask them if they disposed of it or do they know where it is at.  If not, I feel like the judge should take that into consideration," she said.

The Blount County Sheriff's Office is still investigating the case.  No one has been arrested for the offense.
