Firefighters have put out the flames at a house fire in east Knoxville that injured one person.
The fire broke out on the 4100 block of Holston Drive just off Asheville Highway.
When they responded to the scene, firefighters say they found the fire in the living room and the kitchen.
They found one middle aged woman who suffered minor burns to her shoulders and neck and some minor smoke inhalation.
Arson investigators are trying to figure out what caused the fire.
KFD spokesman DJ Corcoran said the fire spread in an unusual way.
"There was a fire at the front of the house and there's fire in the back part of the house too. Normally fire doesn't choose two areas like that. Usually it'll have one small place and then it'll extend to others areas."
The woman who was injured said her husband was home at the time of the fire. But authorities have not found him yet.
