  • Driver Jared Parker, 17; his sister Jordyn, 16; and her boyfriend, Derek Goins, 18, was hurt in a Thursday crash in Grainger County.

Some of Jordyn Parker's best friends were on their way back to UT Medical Center to see their injured friend Friday.

"Forever, as long as we can remember," Sara Laws said, recalling the long-term friendship she's had with Parker.

The 16-year-old girl, her brother Jared, and her boyfriend, Derek Goins were hurt after their car lost control near Clinch Mountain on Highway 25E near Thorn Hill in Grainger County on Thursday.

Friend Rayven Love recalled the moment she heard her friend was hurt.

"I texted her immediately and I called Derek.," Love said. "Finally Derek answered and told me what happened, and I was immediately in shock."

She said Goins is improving, but the Parker siblings are still recovering from what she called "serious injuries."

"She's just as beautiful as she ever been... but Jared is not doing very well," Laws said.

Now, their friends are pleading to the community for prayers. Love and Laws said their Twitter accounts have been active, with well wishes for the threesome. Hashtags #pray4Jordyn and #pray4Jared are being used for the siblings.

"I pray they recover... they're in God's hands," Love said, reading one Tweet.

She said ongoing support is what will help their friends get through this difficult time.

"God is control, we need a miracle," Love added.

THP continues to investigate how the driver lost control of the vehicle.
