State Senator Becky Duncan Massey announced her re-election campaign Tuesday at the Foundry in Downtown Knoxville.
Massey represents the 6th district, which covers most of Knox County.
She took office last year during a special election, and the Republican says she's hoping to serve four more years.
"My focus has always been helping make government more efficient and more effective. Looking for new ways to make Tennessee more business friendly so we can grow jobs and help our small businesses, and also to really focus on continent service. I think that is such a key component of being a member of the state legislature," said Sen. Massey.
She defeated Democrat Gloria Johnson last year to win the seat left open by former Jamie Woodson.
