Talk continues to swirl over the future of Ann Curry at NBC's Today show.
Just one year after Curry became co-host of the popular morning show, NBC executives are preparing for her replacement, reports The New York Times. Network officials have begun confidential talks with Curry to find a different job for her, according to people with knowledge of the negotiations, The New York Times reports. The decision is expected to be complete before NBC kicks off its coverage of the Summer Olympics in late July.
Officially, NBC has no comment.
Curry succeeded Meredith Vieira last year, after spending 14 years on the show in a less prominent role. The show has consistently ranked No. 1 in the morning ratings until this spring, when it was bested for several weeks by ABC's Good Morning America.
