Some golf enthusiasts teed off with the help of glow sticks Friday night. The Knoxville Municipal Golf Course hosted a game of glow-in-the-dark golf.
The Glow Ball tournament is held once a month each summer, and it's gained a following over time. More than 120 golfers took part in Friday's nine hole scramble.
Most say they haven't experienced a game quite like this before.
"My goal is to be able to go home with a glow-in-the-dark ball. If I can do that, I'll consider it a successful night. I'm not going to say that I'll hit them well, but I'll hit them often," said JC Taylor Fortune.
Each participant got a free energy drink to help with the late tee time.
After the game, the glow-in-the-dark balls are returned and raffled off for prizes.
