Children of all ages showed off their track skills on Saturday during the final meet for the Knoxville Youth Athletics Summer Track & Field Program.
They athletes have been practicing 2 nights a week for the last month to compete in relays, hurdles and high jumps.
"Our goal of this program is to promote heath and fitness and maybe even give them the chance to have track as an option going forward in high school athletics," says Chris Kane, Summer Program Director. "You know they have football, basketball and baseball and through this program, we hope to let them know that track is an option."
About 900 kids participated in this year's program.
