A new attraction is coming to Pigeon Forge all the way from Germany.
It's called an Alpine Coaster and hundreds of them exist around the world but none in East Tennessee, so far.
A couple from Germany have plans to develop an Alpine Coaster on a hillside off Wears Valley Road.
Jessica Seitz spent time in Wisconsin as a foreign exchange student and she and her husband Josef Gombert spend their winters in Florida.
They decided in December that Pigeon Forge was the perfect location for their Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster.
"We need mountains. The Alpine Coaster is a slide. You slide individually down a mountain," Alpine Coaster co-Owner Jessica Seitz said. "We do want family entertainment we have here and we were looking for mountains and family vacationers so here we are."
They hope to complete the attraction by the end of the year.
