Get out & Play with Dr. Bob
Get Out and Play with Dr. Bob" is a joint effort to raise awareness about neighborhood parks and address Tennessee's rising childhood obesity epidemic. The series is presented by the Allergy, Asthma & Sinus Center, Knoxville Parks and Recreation, the Legacy Park Foundation's Outdoor Knoxville Center, and WBIR TV-10.
The first featured park will be West Hills Park (410 N Winston Rd.), soon to be home of the new West Hills Tennis Center. The clubhouse completion is slated for the end of the summer. West Hills Park also features Jean Teague Greenway, a major portion of the 4.5-mile greenway connection running from West Hills Elementary to the Carmike Wynnsong Theater off of N. Peters Rd.
