The highway patrol is investigating after a woman was hit by a vehicle along a Blount County highway Thursday night.
It happened around 10 p.m. on Highway 73 in Townsend.
Troopers have not yet released much information, but firefighters say they found a woman who had been struck.
They called Lifestar to fly her to UT Medical Center.
Her name and condition are not being released.
