The former sheriff of Union County has died.
Willie Raymond Evans, 66, of Maynardville, died Thursday at UT Medical Center, according to his obituary.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at Cooke Mortuary in Maynardville with funeral services to follow at 8 p.m.
The family will meet at 10 a.m. Sunday at the mortuary to proceed to Evans Family Cemetery on Hickory Valley Road for an 11 a.m. burial.
