While many people will be watching fireworks shows this holiday, others plan to shoot off their own. With the recent warm weather, one East Tennessee store says its sales are down.
Compared with last year, Bimbos in Loudon County says sales are down 30 percent overall, but the past few days have brought some more business.
Owners say the rain cooled off the county, and more people were out to buy fireworks.
"Since the rain came down, everything's helped sales and we've had so many people in our aisles buying all these different kind of fireworks that it's hard to make it down the aisle to find anything," said Jessie Hackworth, an employee at Bimbo's Fireworks.
Over the past two days, sales have increased about 40 percent.
Bimbos will stay open 24-7 for the next week and a half. The store has been in Loudon County for more than 30 years.
