Some adopted children had a chance to learn more about where they came from.
Children traveled from all around the U.S. to attend the Fourth Annual Adopted Chinese Children Association Reunion. Approximately 100 families attended the reunion which gives children the opportunity to learn more about their roots.
"For the adopted kids, they might have a chance to go back to China, but it would probably be a short visit," said Grace Zhao with the ACCA. "They probably can see a little bit of China, but they still don't know the real culture or root. We just give them the opportunity to experience this Chinese culture."
Kids learned how to write Chinese calligraphy and play games based on Chinese culture and tradition.
Attendees also enjoyed authentic Chinese food and watched a performance by the Cirque de China acrobats.
