Knoxville police are investigating a crash that left six people injured and had Clinton Highway shut down for more than an hour.
It happened around 7 Monday evening near the Tillery Drive intersection. That's just north of the I-275 interchange.
A driver going northbound turned left in front of another car. That second car hit the first on the passenger's side, sending a person in the front passenger seat flying through the side window.
That victim was not wearing a seatbelt and was taken to UT Medical Center.
Four other people in the first car and the driver of the second were hospitalized with minor injuries.
No names were released.
Clinton Highway is back open.
