A bookkeeper for an Oak Ridge medical practice is charged with embezzling more than $650,000.
According to court documents, and Anderson County grand jury indicted Jeffrey L. Russell, 64, on eight forgery counts and two counts of theft.
Russell is scheduled for arraignment on Friday. He is being held in the Anderson County Jail.
Court documents state the theft continued for years while Russell worked for Vascular Diagnostic Center of Oak Ridge, Inc.
