More than 500 acres of prime real estate are going up for sale in Sevier County, and some say it could become the region's next big tourist attraction.

The 545 acre tract of land is just off Highway 66 on the way into Sevierville. It surrounds the Wilderness at the Smokies and the Sevierville Golf Club.

10News spoke to one of the developers who is marketing the property. He told us they're looking to bring in a "high-end large-scale" entertainment or retail development, or a mixture of both.

The Wilderness at the Smokies is the largest attraction and development to call the Highway 66 area home.

The resort includes hundreds of hotel rooms, along with the area's only indoor water park.
