Some tedious moments for a couple of airline pilots in Nashville, Sunday.
A southwest flight coming in to land, struck numerous birds. That's according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
Both engines were affected but the plane landed safely.
Another bird strike happened a short time later on an American Airlines flight leaving for Forth Worth. It was able to continue flying.
Bird strikes are a frequent and potentially dangerous problem for planes.
They were blamed for the water landing of an airliner in New York's Hudson River back in 2009.
