Mission of Hope Backpacks

 Mission of Hope is taking school supplies at area Food City Grocery stores. The supplies will be dropped off in early August. For a list of items needed visit www.missionofhope.org

Dog Wash

On Saturday, July 21st from 9 AM until 2 PM, staff and volunteers will be onsite bathing dogs for a $10 donation. Nail clipping will be available for an additional $10. The dirtiest of dogs can opt for The Works: a $30 donation includes bathing, nail trimming, and a "Kiss My Mutt" t-shirt for their human. This complete package also includes a complementary membership card, which is valid for 10% off HSTV goods and services. All proceeds support HSTV's many programs, including adoption and humane education.
Meanwhile, Fix-a-Pet (located on the second floor of HSTV's campus) will be offering low cost vaccinations. For pricing, call (865)579-6738.

Front Page Follies

 East Tennessee Society of Professional Journalists will have its 34th consecutive Front Page Follies show Saturday, July 21, at Knoxville Convention Center. Cocktails and silent auction at 6 p.m. will be followed by dinner at 7 p.m., silent auction and the stage show at 8 p.m., with music and skits roasting recent events and various newsmakers.

This year's show will honor two of SPJ's and Follies' strongest supporters: Cynthia Moxley and Alan Carmichael of public relations/media relations/marketing firm Moxley Carmichael.
