A Blount County family got quite the scare Tuesday when a car struck their home on Cambridge Road in Walland. It happened around 4 o'clock in the afternoon.
The car drove right into the living room of the home.
The family corgi was the only one home at the time, but he was able to quickly get across the road to safety, and the homeowner's mother feels extremely blessed that no one was hurt.
"It is a blessing. The girls play out here in the front yard all the time. Both the vehicles are usually parked right here in the front yard. I mean, we're out here in the front yard all the time. It's a blessing nobody was home," said Barbara Sloan.
According to witnesses, the driver of the vehicle only appeared to suffer minor scratches on her arm.
