A man who worked as a seasonal employee for the City of Knoxville's Parks and Recreation Department has been charged with raping a teenage girl.
According to the grand jury indictment, Shannon L. Glaspar, 24, is charged with Aggravated Statutory Rape and Rape.
The indictment indicates that Glasper worked at the Dr. E.V. Davidson Community Center on Wilson Avenue. The victim was a volunteer at the center.
Glaspar is in the Knox County jail on a $100,000 bond. On their website, his address is listed as the City Parks and Recreation Department.
According to Angela Starke with the City of Knoxville, Glaspar has been working seasonally since 2004, primarily in the city's recreation centers.
