Daniel Ellsworth and the Great Lakes with The Shams Band will perform on the WDVX Blue Plate Special. The free broadcast begins at noon at the Knoxville Visitor Center.
The Knoxville Museum of Art continues its "Alive After Five" series with the Soulfinger CD Release Party. General admission is $9. "Alive After Five" runs from 6 to 8:30 pm.
Shakespeare on the Square continues with a performance of As You Like It. In addition to being one of Shakespeare's funniest and most beloved comedies, As You Like It is his nod to the Robin Hood legends. Admission is free, but donations are more than welcome at the 7 pm performance.
Great Smoky Mountain Heritage Center continues their 2012 Sunset Music Series with the George Harper Band. Admission is $5 to the 7 pm performance.
Michael Palascak will perform at Side Splitters Comedy Club in West Knoxville. Michael has been seen on Live at Gotham on Comedy Central and was the winner of HBO's Lucky 21 Competition and Comedy Central's Open Mic Fight: Chicago. The 12th Annual Grainger County Tomato Festival Pre-Festival STREET DANCE with Cotton Eyed Joe will be held at Cox & Wright at 7715 Rutledge Pike. They'll be turning the parking lot into a dance floor from 8 pm until midnight.

Join River Sports Outfitters at the Outdoor Knoxville Adventure Center for a SUP paddle (standup paddleboard) on the Tennessee River at 9 am. The Humane Society of the Tennessee Valley is inviting pet parents to bring their dirty dogs to Adopt-a-Pet for a good scrubbing. Staff and volunteers will be onsite bathing dogs for a $10 donation. Nail clipping will be available for an additional $10. The dirtiest of dogs can opt for The Works: a $30 donation includes bathing, nail trimming, and a "Kiss My Mutt" t-shirt for their human. The Tennessee Theatre welcomes "Super WHY Live: You've Got the Power! " The new live show, from the director and producers of Yo Gabba Gabba! Live, will feature all-new, dance-inducing songs alongside our Super Why favorites, with some magical special effects. Tickets range from $29 to $39. Show time is set for 3:30 pm.

The Knoxville Community Band will offer a brief musical tour of the world during a free concert at 3 pm, at the Cove in Concord Park. The musical selection will take listeners from the South Pacific ("Bali Ha'i") to the Spanish Inquisition of the 16th century ("Man of LaMancha") and to Austria ("Climb Ev'ry Mountain"). America is represented in a number of pieces and songs, including "Oklahoma" and Scott Joplin's ragtime ("The Entertainer").
Children's Theatre of Knoxville continues their performance of "Beauty And The Beast". Show time is set for 3 pm. Tickets are $12 per person, unless an adult and a child enter together, these two may be admitted for $10 each. For more information, visit www.childrenstheatreknoxville.com.
