Investigators found several children alone inside a hot attic with temperatures above 100 degrees while inspecting a Kentucky daycare.
The Barbourville Police Department and an inspector investigated the Great Day Daycare Friday afternoon after complaints the facility was operating without a license.
When they searched the building, they found five children under the age of eight in the attic, where temperatures were at least 102 degrees.
Police say the children did not appear to be hurt.
They say the daycare did not have a license and cannot operate.
