CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) -- Oversized truck loads are going to bring Interstate 75's southbound lanes to a crawl this week and in early August.
The Tennessee Department of Transportation said Monday that the loads will move through McMinn and Bradley counties at 10-15 miles per hour, taking up both southbound lanes of I-75.
The first load will be moved Monday, beginning at 8 p.m. and lasting until around 7 a.m. Tuesday. Another load will follow the same route overnight Wednesday and a third load will follow overnight on Aug. 6. The stretch of I-75 affected will be between the exits for Athens and Calhoun.
