Investigators in Monroe County say a star witness in a cold case is changing his story, meaning that case could go cold once again.
10News featured the death of 58-year-old Troy Green of Sweetwater as one of our cold cases several years ago.
He disappeared from Monroe County in 2006, but two years ago, deputies made an arrest.
They charged long-time person of interest John Edward Dawson with Green's murder.
That case is going on right now in Chattanooga, however the sheriff says he's not sure the DA can prosecute Dawson without the witness.
