According to the Knox County Sheriff's Office website, the worker killed Monday night while hanging cable on Central Avenue at Beaver Creek Lane was from Oneida.

A spokesperson has identified the deceased as 29-year-old Bruce Lee Marion.  Marion worked for J&R Cable, according to the sheriff's office.

Previous Story

The Knox County Sheriff's Office says a man died Monday, while hanging cable from a bucket truck.

It happened just before 8:00 p.m. on Central Avenue at Beaver Creek Lane. That is in the county.

Authorities say a passing truck clipped the cable, and that caused it to strike and kill the worker.

The Sheriff's office will release the worker's name once they talk to his family.

Editor's note: An earlier release from the Knox County Sheriff's Office included an incorrect name for the victim and incorrectly identified his employer.
