Two newlyweds who once lived in Knoxville and survived the massacre at a Colorado movie theater have since left the state.
Lucas and Heather Smith were among those watching the new batman film early Friday morning when a gunman opened fire, killing 12 people and injuring dozens more.
Relatives tell us the couple is staying with family in Syracuse, New York as Lucas continues to recover. They say he's doing well, just very sore.
The couple does not have plans to return to Colorado permanently and are looking to God for guidance about their next move.
