WRCB-TV in Chattanooga is reporting that Pikeville mayor Greg Johnson has been indicted on a theft charge.
Pikeville is in Bledsoe County, north of Chattanooga.
The district attorney says the charges stem from a 19-month investigation that includes theft and official misconduct.
Johnson is out of jail on a $10,000 bond.
