The Almost Home Animal Shelter paired with Go Dance Dance Studio to host the fundraiser Dancing for Doggies.
It's an event aimed at raising awareness and funds for animal rescue.
Unlike traditional animal shelters, Almost Home uses a foster care system to find new parents for its pets, a method that proves costly at times.
The shelter says any donations will be put to good use.
"We get a lot of animals from shelters who would otherwise be euthanized if we didn't pull them, and now we can take in some animals that have maybe some more significant behavioral or medical issues," said Carissa Mitchell.
The event raised more than $700 in cash.
Almost Home says it plans to hold another dancing fundraiser next year.
