The Tennessee Highway Patrol says a 41-year-old Madisonville man was killed when the pickup truck he was driving flipped twice landing facing the opposite direction on a Madisonville road late Tuesday night.
According to an accident report, 41-year-old Christopher D. Crowder was driving a 1991 Chevy S10 southbound on Griffith Branch Road, just north of Ball Play Road around 10:30 p.m.
The investigating trooper says Crowder overcorrected after driving off the right side of the road. The truck then flipped on the passenger side, moved across the road, and hit an embankment. Crowder was ejected when the vehicle flipped over on the driver's side. When the truck finally came to a rest, it was facing north.
Crowder was declared dead at the scene of the accident.
The report states he was not wearing a seat belt.
