After months of delays, TDOT has finally reopened both lanes of traffic on I-75 southbound in Campbell County.
It was closed after a landslide near milemarker 143 on March 8 wiped out much of the roadway. Eventually, workers were able to get one southbound lane open by diverting traffic into the northbound lanes.
While work continues, starting on Monday, August 6, TDOT says one lane on I-75 North will be required to be closed on weekday mornings and afternoons. However, it will be restored to two lanes nightly and on weekends.
All work at the I-75 landslide repair project is expected to be finished the week of August 13. This project originally had a completion date of September 28.
