The results are in for the Roane County Property Assessor race, one that has made news in recent weeks.
David Morgan edged out incumbent Teresa Kirkham with more than 40% of the vote.
One of the candidates in the race, J.T. Woods, took his own life back in May. He shot himself at Kirkham's home. Woods was a former employee at the Property Assessor's office.
Woods name still appeared on the ballot. Kirkham suspended her campaign for a week after Woods' death.
